"09" Farewell
Monsterrat a freshman at South East High School says "I had a pretty good break". She says that for christmas she she got some money, gift cards, and clothes. When it was new years she spended some time with her family and celebrated it with them. She spent herbreak with some of her friends and family members. She really didi not go anywhere over the break so nothing new

Is the year 2012 the end of the world?
Mayan prediction inspires movie and millions.
The movie 2012 is getting a lot of attention because that’s the date the Mayans predicted the world is going to end. So, a lot of people are going to watch it, but there are some that don’t want to watch it at all. Nathan Espinosa, a freshman at South East High School, says, “I don’t want to watch it because I don’t have time and I think it is stupid”. He says, “that I think it is stupid because it just a myth and people over react about what’s going to happen in the future”. Espinosa says, “people are too ignorant to care about the planet and no one really cares”. The movie is impacting many people but Espinosa says, “The movie will not impact me what-so-ever”.
Richard Nuño a freshman at SEHS, said “people won’t be scared because it is not real”. he really sounded annoyed by this question. And, he said “I really don’t think the world is going to end in 2012 because a lot of people have said it is going to end and it hasn’t”. Nuño also said, “After I watched this movie I felt it didn’t impact me at all” he also added “people won’t really take care of the world after watching the movie”. Freshman named Rocio Sanchez said, “everyone has a different death date so I really don’t think the world is going to end”. She also said “people will probably be more scared after watching the movie, because it will reinforce there belief that the world is going to end”. She seems to know what she was talking about. Also, she added, “people won’t take care of the world after seeing the movie because why would they if the world is going to end”. She also said “it won’t impact her in any way because she knows that it is not going to happen”. So these people have many different perspective of this like these freshman, but they almost have the same perspective of the movie. It would be better if one of them had a different perspective. So, it seems this movie will be great.

The G.O.S.S Interview
Kryshna Garcia, a freshman at Southeast High School, wants to graduate and then go to Ohio State University and graduate from there. One obstacle she will face is finical aid so that might hold her back for a little will while. But she has one solution and which is ether get a job or try to get a soccer scholar ship. She will be able to get that scholarship because she plays soccer and hopes to be a better player. She will try to get better by practicing and trying hard in order to get better than she is now.

Farewell to summer
A student Christopher Casillas had a great summer. He went to Mexico and to visit his relatives so he was outside most more than inside but he was okay with that. While he was there he went to the theaters and when ever he had extra time he went to the beach to relax. He really like spending time with his family more than with him self because he rarely go t to see them. So hey spent as much time as possible with them. But one thing he will never forget was when he fell down a hill and hurt his whole body but there was just bruises so he didn't get to hurt. So after that injury he went to one of his mom's cousins wedding and he met some new cousins and so he spent the last day with them and so so t his experince in mexico was very fun.
